Banana Cake with Peanut Butter Frosting – Simply (really) Delicious

Alida Ryder has created, manuscripted, cooked, baked and PUBLISHED a cook book. I have been following her blog for years, so as soon as I got my hungry little hands on a copy, I made this. And then I ate it. And then I made it again yesterday. No you can’t have any – make your own in five quick steps. It really is so easy to follow and will impress the socks off your family.
How to make it: 2 eggs, 5ml vanilla extract, 200ml buttermilk, 100g sugar, 240g cake flour, 5ml bicarbonate of soda, 5ml baking powder, pinch of salt, 100g butter, room temperature, 225g (4 large) banana, mashed

For the frosting: 400g icing sugar, sifted, 50g butter, room temperature , 75g smooth peanut butter, 15ml milk, handful chopped pecans

Raising Men review: The Spindel (by Benjamin)

We received this awesome little gadget at the Raising Men home a few weeks ago. It’s called The Spindel and I’m totally addicted to it. The kids too. The Spindel is basically a dryer, well… No wait. Once you’ve done your wash cycle, then you pop the clothes in to this little machine and it spins the daylights (water) out of it. It’s safe, quiet, and fun to use. The boys do all of this. They run to the machine, load it, pack it and fetch a little container for the water. Then they just sit there for about ten seconds until all the excess water comes gushing out.
